Dr.
Guy Zeringue was born and raised on a sugar cane farm in Raceland, Louisiana.
He graduated from Raceland High School in 1962 and from L.S.U. Baton
Rouge in 1966. He attended L.S.U. Medical School. He received the Otolaryngology
Student of the Year Award upon graduation in 1970. He did his residency
in Otolaryngology at L.S.U. Medical School and finished in 1975. He
was Board Certified in that specialty in 1975. He was inducted into
the American College of Surgeons in 1975 and is still a member of that
college today. That same year, Dr. Zeringue moved his family to Thibodaux
to establish what is now "Southern E.N.T. Associates, Inc."
Dr. Zeringue is a past president of Thibodaux Regional Medical Staff,
Lafourche Parish Medical Society, and Greater New Orleans Otolaryugology
Head and Neck Society. Dr. Zeringue is an Honorary Assocate Clinical
Professor at L.S.U. Medical School in Otolaryugology. He was chosen
a Top Doctor in ear, nose, and throat surgery in the New Orleans area
for the year of 2004. He is on the medical staffs of Thibodaux Regional
Medical Center, St. Anne General Hospital, Teche Regional Medical Center,
and Physicians Surgical Specialty Hospital, where he was one of the
original founders. He is happy to be followed in practice in Thibodaux
by his son, Guy Zeringue, III, M.D., in Otolaryngology and his daughter,
Nano Karen Zeringue, M.D., in Ophthalmology.
